Abstract:
The study area is located at RPPN - Private Natural Heritage Reserve, Pousada das Araras. It has an area of 175 ha, 40 km from the city of Serranópolis-GO, which is in Southwest Goiano, about 450 km from the capital, Goiânia, between the coordinates UTM 393493 (S) and 7959379 (W). The objective of this research was to analyze local, top and microclimate climate variability using air temperature and relative humidity data. Temperature and air humidity data were collected with thermohygrometers installed in different elevation elevations and with different landscape characteristics (spring, tree vegetation and open field), from April 2010 to March 2011. The methodology applied to the analysis of the climatic factors used the local and topoclimatic scale, proposed by Thorntwaite in (1953) apud Smith (1975) and cited by Ribeiro (1993). Thus, for the analysis of climatic elements, air temperature and relative humidity, we used the microclimate scale proposed by Geiger (1961, p. 5) defined “as the study of the air layer next to the ground, with height 2 m ”. Linear regression was used to determine the coefficient of determination (r) and the correlation coefficient (R²) using the spreadsheet. In the local scale, the average temperature variation ranged from 19.7 to 25.6ºC, and the relative humidity from 48 to 87%. In the topoclimatic scale, at 9am, it was found that the air temperature, between points P1 to P5, showed, in some months, a correlation (R²) below 80%; at 3 pm, the correlation was almost always above 80%. At 21h, it was found that the thermal inversion occurred between points P1 and P5. In the microclimatic scale, the results of the spatialization of the climatic elements showed that the vegetation contributes to the variability of the climatic elements, considering the relief, the slope exposure and the slope. Based on the observations made in the study area, it was found that there is variability of air temperature and humidity at the local, top and microclimatic scale, considering the other geographical factors, such as soil, vegetation and relief, of the Pousada das Araras area.
