Abstract:
The research aimed to analyze the theoretical and methodological conceptions of geographical climatology in geography teaching with teachers who teach classes in the final years of elementary school, specifically in the 6th grade of Jataí-GO Municipal Network. This research sought to list the emergence of geographical climatology with the studies of Monteiro (1971), Sette (2002), Zavattini (2004, 2014), Sant'Anna Neto (2008), Ferreira (2012) among others. In education, contributions were added through works published at the Brazilian Symposiums on Geographic Climatology (SBCGs). This is a research with qualitative essence, which privileges a study of action research. As a research result it was identified in the annals of the SBCGs about the geographical climatology in education, and the data showed that there has been an advance in the last years, since the southern region since the symposium was created was the first region to publish a work focused on the climatology teaching. The Southeast region was the region that since 1996 published in all events. However we highlight the participation of the Midwest region which in 2012 was the region that published the most and the Northeast also had a great contribution from 2000. The works present research focused on the construction of meteorological devices, visit the weather station, the use music, movies, popular sayings, cloud watching, the use of satellite imagery and games. The climatology contents found in the book have a clear language, except for the content about the seasons. The work encourages creativity and suggests activities that allow a local and global relationship and makes use of cartography representing the elements of climate in maps that facilitates the reading and visualization of phenomena. The collection presents reflective exploration possibilities that focus on space as a whole, with different temporalities, spatialities and discusses the global environmental problems that allow the teacher to work from the perspective of geographical climatology. In climate definition and weather the book brings a mixed concept of a traditional climatology and a geographical climatology and about the knowledge of geographic climatology from the study by Monteiro all the teachers said they had no knowledge. Thus, it was verified the importance of intervening through an action, organized with the book support, suggestion of audiovisual resources Captain Tormenta and Paco in seasons, consulted on the MEC website. This learning object allowed to perform an interactive activity where the user decides the navigation. The use of the song “o pequi by Marcelo Barra” was suggested to the teachers because it allows to relate the theme seasons with the student's reality. The sequence was pointed by the teachers as a great material, easy to understand. The contents are cited in the book and the resource of Captain Storm and Paco in seasons brings riddles and multimedia animations that allow the use of the object as a motivator of learning.
