Abstract:
The Iporá city served as a field of study in this research, because it was from it that we sought to analyze how Iporá was placed in the context of the current appropriation of the Goiás Cerrado. The object of study of this research is the appropriation of the territory from the municipality of Iporá that, like many other Brazilian municipalities, can be considered depressed due to low economic dynamism. Based on the understanding of the appropriation of the municipality in question in the Cerrado of Goiás, the aim was to list the internal elements that characterize it and the external elements that relate it to the state of Goiás-Brazil-World. Therefore, it was necessary to understand the socioeconomic dynamics and the influences of government policies in this process of occupation in the Goiás Cerrado. To carry out this research, we used the qualitative and quantitative approach, because it is based on a literature review, the verification of theories through field activities. They were also used from the cartographic bases to enable the spatialization of the evolutionary period of the municipality. Documentary research was also done. From this research, it investigated the possible justifications for the little attraction that Iporá has for investments. It was found that Iporá is not classified as depressed, but has many weaknesses and characteristics of a depressed municipality. It's also a regional center, due to historical and specific aspects, such as: location, territorial occupation process, trade and service provision. However, it depends economically on a region made up of small municipalities that are economically fragile and are still beginning to specialize in a shy way. It's a municipality that is geographically located as a strategic point of access to various GOs, serves as market reserve, labor, land and has been captured by the Southwest Region due to agribusiness as well as the metropolitan region for economic sectors, especially the secondary and tertiary. Considering this information, it was believed that this work will be of great value for the elaboration of a planning to the public power, being able to revert this reality, being that it will still serve as source of research and geographic historical register.
