Abstract:
The geographical observation in its articulations, proposed challenges by putting forward analyzes and answers presented later in this urban study work. The object of study is Aragarças Goiás city, studied from interactions present in time and space with the city of Barra do Garças in the state of Mato Grosso. The paper addresses the relationships established between these neighboring cities through the study of the place; which is completed with the movement and dynamics performed in space and the external and internal elements that organize the territory on a daily basis. The aim is to understand how the city of Aragarças is currently structured, the socio-spatial dynamics present, and how social, economic, political and cultural relations are organized in the interactions of spaces. The methodological procedures of the research were based on readings and review of bibliographic material, which also included dissertations and theses with conceptual approach to small cities; The access also had the purpose of verifying adopted methodologies. We made survey, verification and tabulation of official data in government institutions being; IBGE, SEPLAN-GO, SEPLAN-MT, IMB, Ministry of Cities, IBAM, Transparency Portal, REGIC, UNDP and DETRAN. An interview was held with the representatives of the municipal secretaries of Aragarças, with some teachers, ex. councilors, and also with some merchants from Barra do Garças-MT city. Questionnaires were applied to one hundred (100) residents of the city of Aragarças. We chose to survey from a selection of twenty (20) companies located in Barra do Garças-MT, to verify the total number of employees registered in the company who are resident in Aragarças. In order to obtain an average of the circulation (flow) over the Araguaia river bridge that connects the two cities, three vehicles were used to count motor vehicles and motorcycles in transit, using a manual digital counter. As an element of retraction, it was decided to capture images of the present and operating landscape by means of a digital camera. The study from the place and through the categories of analysis fragments and unifies the studied object, providing deep and immediate experiences, since we are dealing here with a social construction, an existing totality.
