Graduated in Agronomy from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1975), Bachelor of Arts of Short Period in Scenics from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1971), undergraduate in Philosophy from the University of Bagé Foundation (1972), masters degree in Soil Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1977) and PhD in Forest Sciences from the Federal University of Paraná (1988). He's currently an Associate Professor at the Federal University of Goiás. Has experience in Agronomy, focusing on Management and Soil Conservation, acting on the following subjects: land use, remote sensing, soil erosion, soil conservation and climatology.
